Fly Fishing Course "Session"Would you like to fly fish ? Confused by all the jargon ? Is it really for you ? Why not come on a short tuition session and find out without having to invest in all the gear? Or perhaps you already fish and need to "brush up on your casting skills. Recognized by novice anglers as a superb way in which to introduce themselves into the wonderful world of fly-fishing. The course explains the basic ingredients required for beginning your fly-fishing experience. An ideal introduction, for those people who wish to try the sport for the first time. Example of a Tutorial "Session". Meet for a Coffee. 2 day - Weekend Fishing CourseMore in depth than the Tutorial session, as you will be advised on how to fish the queen of rivers with the right tackle and techniques and become a more accomplished fly fisherman. Venues: River Wylye Wiltshire or River TestIdeal for the novice or intermediate angler, on a one to one, family, father and son or couples basis. A fun filled weekend on a famous chalk-stream Learn the art of fly-fishing a river, basic casting techniques, choosing a fly to match the flies hatching, entomology, dead drift fishing, up-stream nymphing and dry fly techniques. Four and a half miles of unspoilt Chalk stream set in the wonderful county of Wiltshire . The River holds a good head of "Wild" Brown Trout with the up-stream beats having a population of stocked fish. Grayling are also present and can be challenging in their own right, the Lady of The Stream gives a good account of herself in the flows of this delightful chalk stream. The Season runs from April 15 th until October 15 th .
Intermediate / AdvancedThis course introduces the art of fly tying, entomology and advanced casting techniques including presentation casts. Courses may also be tailored for individual requirements. Day tickets for Grayling fishing are available from 16 TH October until Christmas. AccommodationBed and breakfast can be arranged at a charming 16 th Century farmhouse or if preferred self catering in a fully furnished self contained 18 th Century Barn conversion. Both of these venues are set in the most beautiful areas of England and close by the ancient sites of Avebury, Silbury, Woodhenge and Stonehenge . Close by, you can visit mystical Glastonbury and Wells Cathedral, the Roman Cities of Old Sarum near Salisbury and Geogian Bath are 20 miles away. Also Longleat House is just 3 miles away with Lacock Abbey and Stourhead a short drive by car
